We are a family who invests in real estate together.  Brea and Bostyn are sisters and Logan is Bostyn's husband, and Brea's brother-in-law.  And we are using real estate investing to reach financial independence and beyond.  

One could say we were prepped as good candidates for the FI (financial independence) journey. All of us grew up in frugal households, with hard-working parents, who knew the importance of saving. They taught us the importance of finding value from within instead of from materialistic items. Watching their impressive work ethic, which sometimes consisted of less-than-ideal work situations, always stuck with us. To this day, we consider their teachings on professionalism, work ethic, and determination as one of the best gifts we could have inherited. So join us on our journey as we use REIforFI (Real Estate Investing for Financial Independence). 

A little about me...

I was a nerd (still am), someone who loved school, so I pursued and earned a Ph.D. in Biobehavioral Health. After graduation, I took a job as an Assistant Professor in academia and, I absolutely loved it! My boss was amazing, I traveled (which is one of my passions), was doing impactful work with students (which is another passion), and I had freedom in my workplace. Life was pretty darn great. I wasn't making big bucks or anything like that, but I had as much freedom as one could hope for in a W-2 position. 

Then, something happened. It's what I like to call “the catalyst experience.” If you follow enough FI and Real Estate Investing (REI) podcasts, blogs, and community members, you'll start to notice a trend. Most of us don’t just fall into the FI journey. Something thrusts us into it (the catalyst experience), and it's not always pretty.
 

In the span of a year, my decade-long relationship ended, I left my job in academia, moved across the country, and took a job in a big corporate tech firm (no freedom). Basically, I was in a situation I NEVER wanted to be in ever again. And that's when I discovered REI and FI communities. With 2017/2018 being my catalyst experience, it tore away all of my preconceived notions of what my life was going to be. It also opened me up to the possibility of something bigger. This time around, I could construct it and not worry about getting stuck again. 

Curious about where I am in my journey? Here are the basics: Over 140 units, properties ranging from single family homes to a 42-unit syndication, some are partner deals, everything is in PA, NC, CO, and NE, where I use both long term and short-term rentals to build wealth.

I'm Bostyn, a dedicated real estate investor, mother of two, and firm believer in the power of family-driven investments. Since 2020, I've been navigating the dynamic landscape of real estate, from single-family units to small multi-family properties, and even as a General Partner on a 42-unit syndication.

While my primary portfolios are in PA, NE, and CO, my expertise extends beyond any state lines. Drawing from my background in project management and government operations, I excel in overseeing every aspect of real estate operations. Whether it's creating efficient backend processes for asset management, focusing on financial management, or coordinating tasks for my dedicated team, I thrive in the multifaceted world of property investment.

In addition to my passion for real estate investing, I am a licensed Loan Officer in the state of Colorado. I have found great joy in empowering others on their own investment paths through the lending process. 

Outside of the hustle and bustle of real estate, you'll often find me breaking a sweat at the gym, connecting with friends, or soaking up the beauty of the great outdoors. Balancing the demands of the business with family life isn't always easy, but it's incredibly rewarding and I cherish every moment of it.

I’m Logan, a real estate investor since 2020, who believes in wealth building through real estate.  Having experience in plumbing and general construction from my college days, I lead the charge in network development, property rehabs, repairs, and financial management.  My diverse portfolio consists of single-family units to small multi-family properties and short-term rentals in states like PA, NE, and CO with ventures extending across various markets, amassing over 100 units in partnerships.

Beyond the entrepreneurial endeavors, I prioritize my physical fitness, find joy in the craftsmanship of woodworking, and you can usually find me behind the grill, creating feasts for friends and family.  I love fostering relationships and thrive in social settings, relishing the opportunity to meet new people and establish meaningful connections wherever I go.
